About this project

This Fairfax project was a full gut renovation by Kitchen Design Center. The original kitchen had white raised-panel cabinets, tile countertops and blue walls; we took the room down to the studs, opened a wall with a new structural support beam and rebuilt the space as a larger, more connected kitchen. The finished room pairs navy shaker cabinetry with crisp white quartz countertops, a natural wood range hood and a matching wood-wrapped post where the wall once stood. A long island with an undermount sink, a pot filler over the range and a beverage bar with a wine refrigerator and lit open shelving complete the design.
