Modern Grey Shaker Kitchen with Built-In Bookshelf in Fairfax, VA | Matt L. Project
Full kitchen remodel in Fairfax, VA, completed July 2026 - by Kitchen Design Center.
About this project
These Fairfax homeowners came to our showroom with a simple, modern kitchen in mind. Kitchen Design Center fully remodeled the space with grey shaker cabinetry from IST Cabinetry in plywood construction, Calacatta Volacas quartz countertops and warm Happy Floors Cypress Bronze wood-look tile underfoot. We worked from the clients' ideas to select the right finishes and details, and added a built-in bookshelf area for extra storage, for the clean, modern look they wanted.
Design style: Modern
The challenge
The main challenge was using every area of the kitchen as efficiently as possible while keeping the space functional and well balanced.
Our solution
