The Story
About this project
This Fairfax project shows the full scope of a load-bearing wall removal completed by Kitchen Design Center. Construction photos capture the new steel beam and support post that carry the load once the dividing wall came down, opening the kitchen to the adjoining dining and living space. The finished room centers on a gray island topped with white waterfall-edge quartz featuring soft gray veining, with a gas cooktop and stainless chimney hood set into it. Crisp white perimeter cabinetry, a black refrigerator, and warm hardwood floors complete the open plan.
