Kitchen island cabinets & countertop
Black Shaker Kitchen Island with Calacatta Quartz in Fairfax, VA | Joe B. Project
Kitchen island cabinets & countertop in Fairfax, VA, completed December 2024 - by Kitchen Design Center.
The Story
About this project
This Fairfax homeowner wanted to add an island to make the kitchen more functional. Kitchen Design Center supplied Waypoint shaker cabinets in Painted Black and topped them with Calacatta Laza quartz, whose soft gray veining stands out against the dark base for a simple, clean and elegant look. The new island adds valuable workspace and storage without crowding the room.
Design style: Modern, timeless
The challenge
The main challenge was getting the most out of the island within the room's dimensions.
Our solution
We carefully planned the cabinet layout to maximize storage while keeping clear, comfortable walkways around the island.
